As I was pretty busy yesterday I didn't have time to make a post, but I still managed to take a couple print screens. I've unwrapped my character and I'm currently in the process of texturing.
I used 'Roadkill' rather than 3DS MAx's 'Pelt' to cut up the UVW Map. I found Roadkill quicker to use, although it took some while to get used to navigating within it.
Here's the current UVW MAP, I've used Photoshop to texture so far, but I will be using 'Viewport Canvas' for what's left. This is because it's easier to get an even spread of the texture on the mesh and minimises stretching.

I've played around with 'Viewport Canvas' for a little while and i've found it very user friendly, so I have no worries about getting this texturing done. There is just one little hick-up which is that I don't know how to upload my own brush onto it, but my tutor is floating around giving personal tutorials as I'm typing so I will ask him when he gets to me!
