Hi there, it's been quite a while since I last posted a blog, but as of now I am officially back in the game!
Having had my next coursework assignment handed to me it is now time to play the thinking game. I have decided to go for the artist choice and have to design two poly models in 3DS Max. I am free to design and build anything that my heart desires...as long as I clear with GH (a.k.a Gareth; my lecturer) first.
As this is day one I have a few vague ideas of what I'd like to model, my first choice is to build a character. I was thinking something like a cyborg samurai kind of dude, glowing eyes 'n all...but as I explained these are early days.
For my second model I am stuck between building a mech or a space ship, I have a few cool ideas on how I'd design them. I haven't as of yet decided whether I will be building high poly for film/visual effects or low poly game models. I will ponder over this decision for a little while longer.
I'll be running these initial ideas by GH tomorrow so I'll see what he has to say then.
